Turner Property Recruitment is delighted to be working with a highly regarded, multi-disciplinary building consultancy seeking a Senior Chartered Building Surveyor to join its growing Liverpool team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious MRICS Building Surveyor looking to develop their career within a collaborative and forward-thinking consultancy.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a diverse range of building surveying, project management and contract administration services across the North West.

The Role

As a Chartered Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for delivering a broad range of professional and project-led building surveying services, including:

  • Building surveys, defect diagnosis, pathology investigations and remedial solutions
  • Measured surveys and preparation of layout and detailed design drawings
  • Preparation of specifications, schedules of works and tender documentation
  • Advising clients on Planning Permission and Building Regulations requirements
  • Preparing and submitting statutory applications to relevant authorities
  • Condition surveys, schedules of condition and dilapidations matters
  • Party Wall matters and Awards
  • Cost estimating and project budgeting
  • Acting as Contract Administrator across a range of projects
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality, programme and budget objectives are achieved
  • Advising clients and colleagues on CDM Regulations and compliance requirements
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation and records
  • Supporting business development activities, including tender submissions
  • Mentoring and supervising junior team members

About You

The successful candidate will possess

  • MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor status
  • An accredited degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience within building surveying consultancy
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, including JCT, NEC and PPC forms
  • Experience in contract administration and project delivery
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Auto CAD
  • Excellent report writing skills, including defect analysis, feasibility and tender reports
  • Experience within the housing and public sectors would be advantageous
  • Previous experience managing or mentoring junior colleagues
  • Strong commercial awareness and a client-focused approach
