Turner Property Recruitment are working with a well-established consultancy in Leeds that is looking to appoint a Cost Manager to support a growing pipeline of public sector work across the region. This opportunity would suit someone with strong pre-contract experience who is comfortable managing their own projects and working directly with clients. The business is open to considering candidates from Cost Manager through to Senior Cost Manager level, depending on experience.

The Role

  • You'll be involved across a variety of projects within sectors including:
    • Public Sector
    • Local Authority
    • Education
    • Healthcare

The position will focus heavily on pre-construction duties, supporting projects from early-stage cost planning through procurement and tender stages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cost planning and estimating
  • Pre-contract cost management
  • Tender analysis and procurement support
  • Preparing reports and client presentations
  • Managing projects independently
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships

About You

  • Minimum 2 years' post-graduate experience within consultancy/QS environments
  • Strong pre-contract/pre-construction experience is essential
  • Comfortable running your own projects
  • Client-facing and commercially aware
  • MRICS chartership desirable, but not essential
  • Sector experience within public sector-led projects preferred
  • Candidates with predominantly retail sector backgrounds are less likely to be suitable for this particular opportunity.
