Director Building Regulations Principal Design London | Hybrid | Competitive salary up to £120,000 + car allowance We’re working with a well-established consultancy that is looking to bring in a senior Building Regulations Principal Designer to help establish and grow a new BRPD function in London. This is a genuinely senior opportunity with a lot of autonomy. You’ll have the chance to build client relationships, develop the service and help shape the team, rather than simply stepping into an established role. The business works across a strong portfolio of commercial projects, supporting major investors, developers, occupiers and corporate clients. The role You’ll take a lead role in delivering Building Regulations Principal Designer services across a range of projects, working closely with designers, clients, contractors and internal teams. You’ll also have the opportunity to get involved in: * Leading and developing the BRPD team * Building and maintaining client relationships * Business development and growing the service * Building Regulations design reviews throughout design and construction * Providing technical BRPD advice to designers and project teams * Reviewing and coordinating pre-construction information * Supporting the wider building consultancy team * Managing workload, resources and commercial performance About you We’re looking for someone who is commercially minded and confident operating at a senior level, with: * Strong experience delivering Building Regulations Principal Designer services * Good knowledge of the Building Regulations and Building Safety Act * Experience working within a commercial environment * Proven experience leading or managing a team * Strong client-facing and communication skills * The ability to develop trusted client relationships * A commercially focused approach and an interest in business development * Relevant degree/Level 6 qualification * Registered Building Inspector status What’s on offer?
