Director level Project Manager - London

Director of Project Management for its London office.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Project Management leader who is looking to play a pivotal role in the continued growth of an ambitious consultancy.

You'll be joining a business with an excellent reputation across the public sector, delivering projects for healthcare, education, defence and government clients, while also taking ownership of developing new client relationships and expanding existing accounts.

This role is about far more than project delivery.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the future of the Project Management team, winning new work and helping to drive the business forward.

The Role

As a Director, you'll provide strategic leadership across a diverse portfolio of projects while acting as a trusted advisor to clients.

You'll lead multidisciplinary teams, oversee the successful delivery of complex schemes and be a visible presence in the market, identifying and securing new business opportunities.

You'll also mentor and develop Project Managers within the team, helping to strengthen the consultancy's capability as it continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of major public sector projects from inception through to completion.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with both existing and prospective clients.
• Drive business development activities, including networking, bidding and winning new commissions.
• Identify opportunities for framework appointments and repeat business.
• Provide strategic advice to clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead project teams, ensuring quality, programme, cost and risk are effectively managed.
• Support the growth and development of the Project Management team through mentoring and leadership.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across other service lines to maximise opportunities.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Project Management professional who combines excellent technical capability with strong commercial awareness.

You'll ideally have

• Significant Project Management experience within a property consultancy.
• A proven track record of delivering projects across the public sector, particularly within healthcare, education, defence or government.
• Demonstrable business development experience, including winning work and building long-term client relationships.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Professional membership such as MRICS, MAPM or MCIOB (preferred but not essential depending on experience).
