We are representing a forward-thinking, independent property consultancy in Bristol that is looking to appoint a Director of Building Surveying to lead and grow its high-performing team.

The Opportunity
This is a genuine leadership opportunity for a commercially aware and client-focused Building Surveyor who is ready to take their next step.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading the Building Surveying team in Bristol, setting the cultural and technical tone
- Delivering high-quality services across core areas such as technical due diligence, design & project management, defect diagnosis, surveys, and dilapidations
- Providing strategic input into business growth – including identifying and developing new opportunities and markets
- Acting as a key client contact, managing relationships with a focus on long-term value
- Working closely with other service line leaders across project management, architecture, cost consultancy, and ESG
- Mentoring junior and mid-level surveyors to support their professional development
- Representing the consultancy at industry events and networking opportunities
What We’re Looking For
- MRICS qualified with significant post-qualification experience
- A proven track record of delivering consultancy-side Building Surveying services as a senior or director level
- Strong understanding of the commercial property market across both public and private sectors
- Demonstrable experience in client development and account growth
- A collaborative mindset – able to work effectively across disciplines
- Experience managing and mentoring a team
- Clear, confident communicator and presenter – both internally and externally
