Turner Property Recruitment is delighted to be exclusively partnering with an award-winning independent property consultancy to appoint an Associate Director / Director – Building Surveying for its Manchester office. This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious senior Building Surveyor to take a genuine leadership role within a highly respected consultancy that has built an outstanding reputation across the commercial property sector. With continued growth and an impressive pipeline of work, the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future of the Building Consultancy team while helping drive the next phase of the business.

This position offers an excellent balance of project delivery, professional Building Surveying, client relationship management, business development and team leadership. You'll have the autonomy to influence strategy, develop key client accounts and mentor the next generation of surveyors, whilst working alongside an established leadership team.

The Role

You'll lead a diverse portfolio of project and professional Building Surveying instructions including:

  • Contract Administration and Project Management
  • Technical Due Diligence
  • Dilapidations (landlord and tenant)
  • Acquisition Surveys
  • Schedules of Condition
  • Project Monitoring
  • Commercial office refurbishments and fit-out projects
  • Tenant lease advisory instructions

Projects range from £50,000 to £20 million, acting for investors, developers, landlords, occupiers and corporate clients across a broad commercial property portfolio.

About You

We're looking for an MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor with a strong consultancy background and experience operating at Associate Director, Director or an equivalent senior level. You will be:

  • Commercially minded with a proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Comfortable leading major project and professional commissions.
  • Experienced in winning work, presenting to clients and identifying new business opportunities.
  • A confident mentor and leader who enjoys developing teams.
  • Passionate about delivering excellent client service whilst contributing to the wider growth of the business.

This role would particularly suit someone looking for greater autonomy, influence and the opportunity to help shape the future of an established Building Consultancy team.
