I’m currently working with an independent consultancy that’s looking to grow its Birmingham-based Building Surveying team. This is an exciting opportunity for a Chartered or Senior Building Surveyor to join a thriving and supportive commercial practice with a strong national client base, including institutional investors and major occupiers.
The role offers a fantastic balance of autonomy, professional variety, and career progression in a collaborative environment. You’ll work across a wide range of instructions in the commercial, industrial, and healthcare sectors, including high-profile Technical Due Diligence, Dilapidations, and Contract Administration work.
Key Responsibilities:- Technical Due Diligence & acquisition surveys
- Contract Administration and project delivery
- Dilapidations (landlord & tenant)
- Building pathology and defect analysis
- General commercial building surveying duties in line with a Chartered role
- MRICS qualified, with a degree in Building Surveying
- Strong report writing and client-facing skills
- Experience in a proactive commercial consultancy environment
- Solid knowledge of building contracts in a commercial setting
- Confident in managing clients and building lasting relationships
- Commercially aware and driven to contribute to business development
- Full UK driving licence
- Salary up to £70,000 (dependent on experience)
