Experienced Building Surveyor – Kent

Location: Kent (with hybrid options across Kent and London)

Salary: Up to £75,000 + Bonus + Benefits

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Building Surveyor to join a growing, multi-disciplinary property consultancy based in Kent, with flexibility to work from satellite offices in London. This is a permanent, full-time role offering career development, exposure to a varied client portfolio, and a genuinely collaborative working environment.

The Role:

This is a key role for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and client interaction. You will deliver core building surveying services including:

  • Measured surveys, inspections, and reports
  • Specification writing (including NBS)
  • Contract administration and project management
  • Feasibility studies and tender documentation
  • Professional services such as Party Wall matters, Dilapidations, Condition Surveys, and Acquisitions

Projects span across refurbishments, new builds, and extensions for both public and private sector clients, including local authorities, care homes, commercial premises, and listed properties.

About You:

  • RICS-accredited degree in Building Surveying
  • Currently working towards MRICS or equivalent (ideally with 5+ years’ commercial surveying experience)
  • Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills
  • Organised, methodical, and self-motivated with a team-focused approach
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD/NBS is a plus
  • Full UK driving licence
