We’re looking for a Chartered Building Surveyor to join one of our consultancies growing team. This is a busy and varied role where you’ll work on a range of projects, including insurance work, primarily residential buildings across various types of construction.

Location: Reigate, with projects in Surrey, Kent, and surrounding areas.
Your responsibilities include:
- Inspect, advise, and provide expertise on design, construction, maintenance, and refurbishment of buildings
- Conduct inspections, including acquisition surveys, condition reports, and defect investigations
- Prepare reports, schedules of work, and specifications
- Manage large-scale projects independently and oversee works using recognised building contracts
- Apply relevant legislation such as health and safety, party wall, building regulations, and planning
- Support APC candidates and promote knowledge within the team
You must have the following requirements/attributes:
- MRICS Accreditation
- Extensive experience in consulting engineering, surveying, and architectural practices
- Proficiency in defect diagnosis and report writing
- Experience in insurance repair projects (preferred)
- Strong leadership and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of CDM Regs 2015, Party Wall, and Building Regulation legislation
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under deadlines and budgets
