About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Building Surveyor to join a well-established consultancy based in Exeter. Key Responsibilities

  1. Carry out inspections, surveys, and assessments on a wide variety of commercial and residential properties
  2. Prepare detailed technical reports, schedules of condition, and defect analysis
  3. Advise clients on design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of buildings
  4. Undertake project management duties, including contract administration and monitoring work on site
  5. Support senior staff with professional services such as dilapidations, party wall matters, and due diligence
  6. Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring the highest level of service delivery
  7. Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities and supporting bids/tenders

Requirements

  1. Degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline
  2. Ideally MRICS qualified, or working towards APC with strong progress
  3. Proven experience in building surveying across a range of sectors
  4. Strong technical knowledge and excellent report writing skills
  5. Good understanding of relevant legislation and best practices
  6. Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
