About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Building Surveyor to join a well-established consultancy based in Exeter. Key Responsibilities
- Carry out inspections, surveys, and assessments on a wide variety of commercial and residential properties
- Prepare detailed technical reports, schedules of condition, and defect analysis
- Advise clients on design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of buildings
- Undertake project management duties, including contract administration and monitoring work on site
- Support senior staff with professional services such as dilapidations, party wall matters, and due diligence
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring the highest level of service delivery
- Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities and supporting bids/tenders
Requirements
- Degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline
- Ideally MRICS qualified, or working towards APC with strong progress
- Proven experience in building surveying across a range of sectors
- Strong technical knowledge and excellent report writing skills
- Good understanding of relevant legislation and best practices
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
