Building Surveyor (client-side)

Due to further expansion our client are looking to add an additional Building Surveyor to the team.

You’ll be based in the centre of Manchester, working within a team of experienced Building Surveyors and other specialist Surveyors across disciplines that include; Asset/Property Management, Commercial and Development.

What we’re looking for:

• MRICS or equivalent with experience in a commercial Building Surveyor capacity
• An understanding of Dilapidations protocols
• Experience of refurbishments and understanding the relevant documentation to obtain, for example reducing asbestos exposure
• An understanding of HVAC across a commercial property portfolio

What you’ll be doing:

Working on a portfolio that includes assets across Greater Manchester

• Use project and technical management skills to select delivery routes and deliver on behalf of the Building Consultancy team for a range of different project types
• Implement the delivery of the portfolio strategic works/projects in line with asset plans, to a high standard for a set portfolio.
• Manage projects from inception to completion using your subject matter expertise ensuring high quality and efficient progress in line with stakeholder requirements
• Manage project handover from delivery to operations post practical completion as and when required and make sure all snagging is closed out by the delivery teams
• Make sure you deliver compliance with company policies and practices
• Implement asbestos management, licence for alterations and dilapidations making sure they are delivered effectively and in a timely manner.
• Implement our strategy in areas such as sustainability and smart building technology.
