Turner Property Recruitment is working with a well-established property consultancy that is looking to appoint an Assistant Building Surveyor to join its Birmingham team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a broad range of professional and project work while receiving ongoing support towards achieving MRICS status.
You\'ll work alongside experienced Chartered Surveyors on a varied portfolio of commercial property, giving you the chance to build your technical knowledge, take on increasing responsibility and accelerate your career.
The Role
As an Assistant Building Surveyor, you\'ll be involved in a diverse workload including:
- Building surveys and technical inspections
- Dilapidations
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPMs)
- Defect diagnosis and reporting
- Contract administration
- Refurbishment and fit-out projects
- Schedules of condition
- Project delivery from inception through to completion
- Supporting senior surveyors across a variety of instructions
About You
We\'re looking for someone who has:
- A Building Surveying degree (or equivalent)
- Around 1-3 years\' Building Surveying experience within a consultancy environment
- Started, or is keen to start, their APC
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- A full UK driving licence is desirable
