This is an excellent opportunity for a senior professional looking to take a strategic leadership role within a growing business.
The successful candidate will lead and manage a team of building surveyors, overseeing the delivery of high quality projects across a variety of sectors. You will be responsible for driving business development, maintaining and strengthening client relationships, and ensuring technical excellence across all projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex refurbishment, fit‑out, and construction projects, providing expert advice on surveying, compliance and project management. You will also play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of the Birmingham office and supporting the wider business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the building surveying team and manage project delivery across multiple sectors
- Deliver complex surveying projects, including inspections, reports, specifications and contract administration
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of service
- Drive business development and contribute to the growth of the Birmingham office
- Mentor and support junior surveyors and staff development
- Ensure all projects comply with statutory regulations, building standards and technical best practice
- Provide strategic input into the office and national business plans
About You
- MRICS qualified with proven experience at Associate Director or Director level, or a strong Senior Surveyor ready to step up
- Experience across commercial, retail, industrial or residential projects
- Demonstrable experience in business development and client management
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and inspire a team
- Technically confident with a detailed understanding of surveying and project delivery
- Commercially aware, proactive and driven to grow both personal and business success
