Turner Property Recruitment is delighted to be working with a leading international construction and property consultancy to appoint an ambitious Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing Cost Management team in Croydon.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor with several years' post-qualification experience who is confident delivering projects independently and looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and collaborative consultancy environment.
You'll be joining a high-performing team delivering exciting projects across the built environment, with an initial focus on major retail refurbishment and fit-out schemes for long-standing blue-chip clients. From early-stage cost planning through procurement and final account, you'll play a key role throughout the entire project lifecycle.

The Role
As Project Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for delivering comprehensive pre- and post-contract cost management services across multiple live projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Producing cost plans, estimates and procurement advice
- Managing tender processes and contract administration
- Preparing valuations, variations and payment recommendations
- Monitoring project costs and producing monthly financial reports
- Identifying commercial risks and opportunities throughout project delivery
- Managing contract changes and maintaining accurate commercial records
- Resolving contractual issues and supporting dispute avoidance where required
- Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and contractors
- Working collaboratively with wider project teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Supporting business improvement initiatives, benchmarking exercises and proposals where required
About You
We're keen to speak with Quantity Surveyors who have:
- Several years' experience in a consultancy or client-side Quantity Surveying role
- Experience delivering both pre- and post-contract cost management services
- Confidence managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Previous exposure to refurbishment or fit-out projects within the retail sector (commercial or healthcare experience would also be beneficial)
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline
- MRICS status, or currently working towards chartership
- Strong knowledge of cost planning, procurement and contract administration
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A collaborative approach with strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
- Good proficiency using digital cost management and reporting tools
- A full UK driving licence would be advantageous
