An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a growing, independent construction and project management consultancy, delivering a high-profile programme of works at London Luton Airport.
Working as part of a dedicated client team, you'll lead the delivery of projects within the airport's retail concessions programme. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a fast-paced, high-profile estate, delivering projects that enhance the passenger experience in one of the UK's busiest airports.
Previous retail or aviation experience is not essential. We're looking for an exceptional Project Manager with a strong track record of successfully delivering construction projects, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to operate in a complex live environment.
The Role
As Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing multiple construction projects across the airport estate.
- Leading project delivery through all RIBA stages.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants and contractors.
- Managing programme, cost, risk and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
- Chairing project meetings and providing regular progress reports.
- Coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and contractor activities.
- Ensuring projects are delivered with minimal disruption to airport operations.
- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders and project partners.
About You
We're looking for a confident and proactive Project Manager who thrives in a collaborative environment.
You'll ideally have:
- Proven experience delivering construction projects within a consultancy or client-side environment.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Experience managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- A commercial mindset with strong risk and programme management skills.
- Degree qualified in Construction, Project Management or a related discipline.
- Chartered status (MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
