Building Surveyor – Professional Services
Turner Property Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a growing property and construction consultancy in the appointment of a Building Surveyor to join its team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in professional Building Surveying, with experience delivering a broad range of instructions for commercial property clients.
The business is open to candidates from a range of sector backgrounds, provided they have strong technical Building Surveying experience and, importantly, an appetite for work winning and business development.
The Role
The successful candidate will work across a varied professional Building Surveying workload, providing clients with high-quality technical advice and developing long-term relationships.
Alongside delivering instructions, you will be expected to contribute to the growth of the business by identifying opportunities, developing client relationships and supporting work winning activity.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver a broad range of professional Building Surveying instructions.

Undertake building surveys and technical due diligence.

Prepare condition reports and technical advice.

Provide planned maintenance and lifecycle advice.
-
Undertake Dilapidations and other professional instructions where appropriate.

Provide technical advice to commercial property clients.

Manage client relationships and act as a trusted adviser.

Prepare fee proposals and contribute to tender submissions.

Identify opportunities for additional work and new instructions.

Develop and maintain a strong professional network.

Contribute to business development and work winning.

Support junior surveyors and contribute to the wider team where appropriate.
About You
We are looking for a Building Surveyor with:

Strong professional Building Surveying experience.

Experience working with commercial property clients.

Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The ability to manage instructions independently.
-
Strong commercial awareness.
-
A client-focused approach.
-
A genuine interest in business development and winning new work.
-
MRICS or working towards chartership would be advantageous.
