This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor to join a highly regarded consultancy and work alongside experienced professionals on a diverse range of commercial property instructions.
The role will have a particular focus on Technical Due Diligence (TDD), alongside a broad range of Building Surveying services. The consultancy has an established national client base, working with major investors, institutions, property owners and occupiers across the commercial property market.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative Building Surveying team where you will have the opportunity to develop your technical expertise, take on increasing levels of responsibility and build strong relationships with clients.
- Take greater ownership of client instructions
- Develop and manage client relationships
- Work across a varied range of commercial Building Surveying instructions
- Further specialise in areas such as Technical Due Diligence
- Support and mentor more junior members of the team
- Become involved in business development and winning new work
- Progress towards senior and leadership positions within the business

Key Responsibilities
Working primarily across the commercial property sector, you will undertake a broad range of Building Surveying work, including:
- Technical Due Diligence
- Contract Administration
- Refurbishment and redevelopment projects
- Pre-acquisition surveys
- Dilapidations
- Building Pathology
- General professional Building Surveying services
- Preparation of technical reports and recommendations
- Client-facing project and advisory work
The exact balance of responsibilities will depend on your experience and seniority.
About You
We are keen to hear from Building Surveyors at a range of levels, from recently qualified professionals through to Senior and Associate level.
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Building Surveying
- MRICS qualification, or be working towards chartership
- Strong technical Building Surveying experience
- Experience of Technical Due Diligence, ideally within a commercial environment
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- Knowledge of building contracts and their application within commercial property
- Experience working directly with clients
- A commercially focused approach
- An understanding of current technical and commercial challenges within the property market
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple instructions
- A proactive approach to business development and client relationship management
- A willingness to embrace technology and new ways of working
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle where required
