Turner Lovell is recruiting Lead Project Engineers to support major transmission infrastructure programmes in Scotland.
Working within the Project Engineering team, you will provide technical engineering leadership across the Western Isles programme and the Orkney–Mainland 220k V HVAC subsea electrical link.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate engineering inputs and outputs from early design through to project delivery.
- Chair multidisciplinary engineering, design and risk meetings.
- Drive design maturity, programme delivery and engineering governance.
- Manage design changes, technical queries and contractor deliverables.
- Coordinate key project gate activities, including HAZID, HAZOP, HAZCON and Design Authority reviews.
- Ensure engineering and quality risks are identified, managed and escalated appropriately.
We are looking for
- Strong experience leading multidisciplinary engineering activities on major projects.
- Experience coordinating design, engineering risk and technical interfaces.
- Good knowledge of engineering governance, change control and design assurance processes.
- Strong stakeholder management and the ability to coordinate contractors and internal engineering teams.
The roles are home based, with occasional travel required for meetings and project activities.
