Turner Lovell is recruiting a Commercial Project Lead to join a leading, highly innovative, engineering services company in the UK. This is a brilliant opportunity for the right individual to join a well established, highly regarded business that is experiencing growth across multiple sectors. You will be working on site at Stansted Airport and will direct the commercial team, with commercial responsibility on the delivery of this project.
With the support of the wider team, your responsibilities will include:
- Lead all project commercial activities and maintain full financial control.
- Manage Compensation Events, valuations, forecasts, subcontract accounts, and monthly applications.
- Ensure all accounts timetables are met for payments, liabilities, and variation requests.
- Prepare and present monthly Commercial and Project Review meetings with the Contracts Manager.
- Oversee team workload, review outputs for accuracy, and mentor staff development.
- Maintain accurate Defined Cost records and Activity Schedule reconciliations.
- Drive robust cash-flow management and compliance with Farrans finance and audit requirements.
- Support final account preparation and agreement.
- Manage and lead contractual claims upstream and downstream, including through formal dispute process if required.
- Deliver project profit margin in line with or exceeding tender expectations.
The ideal profile is someone with:
- Degree Qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar.
- Minimum of 10 years post-graduate experience, including 5+ years on NEC contracts.
- Proven experience managing large-scale projects.
- Strong leadership and team-development capability.
- Excellent grasp of NEC4 change control, forecasting, and cost reporting.
- Commercially astute with high attention to detail.
