Accepting Candidates Site Project Manager – EV Grid Connection Location: United Kingdom, hybrid (offices in Manchester) Start date: ASAP / November 2024 £50k-55K + Car allowance Fully on-site / office based Keywords: EV charging, street works, ICP, DNO, power gen, solar, BESS, 11kV, high voltage, medium voltage, NERS, health & safety Turner Lovell is looking for a Site Project Manager to join a Principal Contractor, on multiple ICP (11kV) projects based throughout the UK. The client is looking for an ICP connection experienced individual to lead, coordinate and oversee the connection of multiple EV charging points to the local grids. In this role you will coordinate the design and site works across multiple locations. Extensive experience managing street works within the UK is critical for this role. This position will include interface with the client to gain approvals and updates, contact with local authorities for permits and regulatory approvals, procurement activity and subcontractor management to ensure site activity follows agreed time frames, budget, and quality. Key duties: To create construction plans, work with the current teams (project, design, commercial, health & safety and engineering) and all other key stakeholders within the business to deliver the projects to time/cost/quality/HSE. Provide robust management skills in work planning, engineering design, procurement, resource allocation, client & local authority approvals, and dispute resolution for different phases of work. Lead all client interface activities and ownership of deliverables in relation to the pre-construction scopes of work. Ensuring a high standard of Health and Safety is maintained throughout the project, liaising with the EHS department. Provide stakeholder and subcontractor management and communicate detailed project updates to the client and internal organisation. Gain legal consents required (e.g. wayleaves) & ensure the contractual agreements and regulatory compliances are adhered to throughout the project and mitigate any issues Requirements: Degree / HND in Engineering / Civil Engineering or similar related field Experience with grid connections and Street Works as a Site Manager, Foreman or Project Manager desired. Site safety certificates – such as SMSTS, NEBOSH. Experience working on ICP projects (or similar) – strongly preferred Willing to commute to sites throughout the UK. Proven experience with pre-construction stakeholder management, commercial management and client interfacing experience This is an exciting new opportunity to get involved in renewable energy projects, working remotely with visits to offices & sites when required.
