Site Construction Manager - 400kV OHL / Substation Location: North Scotland - Inverness, site-based. Rate: £700 per day, with accommodation and travel to site covered Start Date: October 26 Duration: 12-month initial contract, with potential for further requirements Hours: 37 hours per week, with flexibility required due to travel and project demandsTurner Lovell are recruiting on behalf of a leading UK energy infrastructure organisation delivering major electricity transmission projects across the UK. We are seeking an experienced Site Construction Manager to support the delivery of a major 400kV Overhead Line and Substation projects in North Scotland. This is a key site-based position, responsible for overseeing construction activities and ensuring works are delivered safely to programme and in accordance with the required quality, environmental and technical standards. Working closely with the appointed contractors and wider project team, you will act as a key representative on site, monitoring progress, contractor performance and compliance across a complex major transmission project. Role Responsibilities: Manage and monitor construction activities across a major 400kV OHL and substation projects Represent the project organisation on site and act as a key point of contact for contractors and stakeholders Monitor completed works against project KPIs to support payment applications and NEC contract management Monitor and record key deliverables including earthworks, civils, substation, overhead line construction and commissioning activities Ensure construction activities comply with planning consents, statutory requirements, SHE legislation and project standards Monitor contractor performance against programme, resource requirements, quality and safety expectations Ensure works are delivered in accordance with CDM 2015, ITPs and relevant technical and quality requirements Support effective management / reporting of project interfaces, risks, issues and construction activitiesRole Requirements: Proven experience in a Site Construction Manager or similar construction management role Strong engineering and construction knowledge within major infrastructure projects Experience working on major transmission projects, ideally involving OHL, substations and/or underground cables Strong understanding of construction Health & Safety requirements and CDM 2015 Understanding of NEC contracts and experience supporting contract management would be advantageous Ability to work site-based across a major infrastructure project Experience within the energy, utilities or electricity transmission sector is highly desirableThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Construction Manager to join a major UK transmission programme, working on a significant 400kV OHL and substation developments in North Scotland.
