Reporting To: Project Manager / Site Lead
Turner Lovell is supporting the delivery of major civil works for a specialist contractor within the UK’s high-voltage transmission and distribution sector. This is a key contract position within a live project environment, offering the opportunity to play a pivotal role in the civil delivery of a technically demanding infrastructure scheme.
The successful candidates will take ownership of all civil, structural and architectural setting out activities on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately and in line with approved design and programme requirements.
Due to the live nature of the projects, NG Person is required to be considered.
Key Responsibilities:- Site Engineering & Delivery
- Lead all civil, structural and architectural setting out activities across the substation build.
- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and programme milestones.
- Monitor daily progress, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies where required.
- Maintain high standards of quality assurance and compliance.
- Work closely with the Project Manager and site teams to drive programme performance.
- Act as a professional and credible point of contact for client representatives.
- Ensure documentation and reporting meet the highest standards expected by a hyperscale client.
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere strictly to NDA requirements.
- Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- NG Person ticket, First aid, SSSTS/SMSTS.
- 5 years of experience delivering civil works on live infrastructure projects.
- Strong background in full setting out responsibilities.
- Demonstrable experience producing structured site and progress reports.
- Experience working within utility, energy or major infrastructure environments.
- Experience in High Voltage (HV) substation projects.
- Previous experience working alongside major civil engineering contractors in a live environment.
- Strong stakeholder-facing and communication skills.
- NSI 6&8 full.
