Turner Lovell is currently recruiting for a Senior SCADA Engineer to join a rapidly growing engineering design consultancy and grid connection contractor. Our client is renowned for delivering innovative solutions within the power, energy, and infrastructure sectors. In this senior role, you will play a key part in supporting critical transmission and distribution projects across the UK that contribute to a sustainable, low-carbon future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, configuration, and validation of SCADA systems for low to high voltage substation projects.
- Develop, assess, and maintain technical designs, including I/O schedules, functional design specifications, and panel configurations.
- Configure and customize SCADA software (e.g. WinCC) to meet specific project requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering skill development and quality output.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
- Experience using protocols like IEC61850, Modbus and similar.
- Good understanding of Protection & Control principles.
- Basic/Good understanding of AutoCAD.
- Prior experience in Substation Automation within the Transmission & Distribution sectors.
