Turner Lovell are working on a range of vacancies for Senior Authorised Person. We’re looking for experienced Senior Authorised Persons (SAPs) to join a leading organisation delivering critical HV substation construction and network upgrade projects across the UK Power Networks distribution area. You’ll play a key role in the safe delivery of HV/LV electrical engineering works, including substation builds, planned outages, and network reinforcement.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and executing HV switching schedules using DNO systems
  • Isolating and earthing HV apparatus
  • Issuing safety documentation (Permits, Sanctions, Limitations)
  • Preparing method statements and risk assessments
  • Supporting project planning and mentoring junior engineers
  • Ensuring compliance with safety rules and HSE legislation

What We’re Looking For:

  • SAP authorisation at 11kV, 33kV, or 132kV on a UK DNO network
  • Experience in substation construction, HV commissioning, or network maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering and outage planning
  • HNC/Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Full UK driving licence
