Turner Lovell are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of multiple 33kV ICP connection projects across the UK. The successful candidate will lead and coordinate the full lifecycle delivery of contestable electrical infrastructure projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role requires strong client-facing capability, commercial awareness, and experience managing HV utility projects from design through to energisation and adoption.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple 11kV / 33kV ICP utility connection projects concurrently across commercial, industrial, renewable energy, and infrastructure sectors.
  • Lead all client interface activities, ensuring clear communication, programme updates, and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate and oversee design, procurement, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities associated with HV electrical connections.
  • Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with DNO / IDNO specifications, G81 standards, NERS requirements, and company procedures.
  • Maintain a strong focus on Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality compliance throughout project delivery.
  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and internal delivery teams to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Monitor programme, costs, risks, and project performance, implementing mitigation measures where required.
  • Support commercial management activities including valuations, change control, forecasting, and contract administration.
  • Liaise with DNOs, IDNOs, clients, and third-party stakeholders to coordinate outages, approvals, and energisation activities.
  • Produce and communicate regular project reports to senior management and clients.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in Project Management within the UK utilities, ICP, or HV electrical infrastructure sector.
  • Proven experience delivering 11kV and 33kV electrical connection projects.
  • Strong understanding of contestable utility works, DNO processes, and HV network infrastructure.
  • Experience managing projects valued from £500k to £10m+.
  • Ability to travel to sites regularly as required.
  • Project Management qualification or training desirable (APM, PRINCE2, PMI or equivalent).
  • Valid CSCS / Safety Passport preferred.
  • Knowledge of NERS accreditation requirements advantageous.
