Scope of Work: A senior leadership role for a motivated and experienced Project Director with one of the UK’s leading infrastructure businesses delivering a range of exciting energy projects across the Central Belt.
Are you an experienced project and people leader with experience in delivering across transmission and distribution schemes? Have you ambitions to work with a market-leader on large-scale substation, overhead lines, and cabling projects?
Turner Lovell is recruiting a Project Director to join a leading engineering services company who are delivering new build and upgrade/expansion projects of electricity assets to Scottish Power. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is keen to further develop their skills and take on increasing levels of responsibility.
As a Project Director you will be:
- Responsible for the overall leadership, direction, management, and supervision of multi-disciplinary projects to appropriate health and safety, time, cost, and quality targets and provide strategic planning, leadership, and support to project operations.
- Required to implement a full risk and value engineering management process where all risks and cost savings opportunities are identified.
- Consulting effectively with customers & stakeholders.
- Preparing and communicating financial reports and spreadsheets to stakeholders while vigorously managing project costs and ensuring accurate expenditure tracking.
- Coaching and developing project staff, addressing performance issues appropriately.
- Ensuring all services and installations meet required standards and certifications while promoting service excellence, best practices, and sustainability in line with Perfect Delivery philosophy.
The ideal profile is someone who:
- Displays leadership skills alongside experience of delivering large scale projects.
- Has experience within the Energy sector.
- Is educated to a degree level in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent.
- Has DNO Experience and Awareness.
