Role: Lead Electrical Project Engineer Location: Aberdeenshire, Scotland Salary: Competitive with benefits Turner Lovell are recruiting for an established M&E contractor, operating across Europe on various HV energy infrastructure & data centre projects, on both the design and construction phases. We\’re seeking a Lead Electrical Project Engineer to support the delivery of major power and renewable energy projects. This role involves overseeing technical aspects from design through to commissioning, with a strong focus on HV electrical systems. You\’ll work across multiple teams and disciplines, helping ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to high standards. Key Responsibilities Lead technical delivery across all project phases: design, construction, commissioning, and energisation. Prepare and review electrical design drawings, schematics, and documentation. Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and design consultants on technical and commercial matters. Manage procurement processes, including requisitions and purchase orders. Oversee quality control, inspections, and snagging. Support project scheduling, material take-offs, and tender documentation. Assist with commissioning and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development. Requirements Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. 5+ years\’ experience in engineering design or project management for industrial installations. Strong understanding of HV/MV systems and resilience planning. Experience with energy management and automated control systems. Skilled in AutoCAD and MS Project; familiarity with electrical design standards. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
