Scope of Work: A key role within the design team delivering electrical design work of gas powered generation, CHP plants, energy storage systems and micro grids, while supervising and developing junior engineers in the business.
Are you an experienced Electrical Engineering professional with experience in power generation projects? Have you ambitions to lead on the delivery of complex design projects from concept through detailed design, installation, commissioning and handover?
Turner Lovell is recruiting a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a leading, highly innovative, EPC company in the UK. This is a brilliant opportunity for the right individual to join a well established, highly regarded business that is experiencing growth through their success in the market. You will be working with a large engineering team in the North West, mentoring more junior engineering team members and collaborating across this multi-disciplinary team.
With the support of the wider team, your responsibilities will include:
- Translate and develop concepts into designs to meet the functional and contractual specifications of secured orders, developing and detailing specifications, producing calculations and making component selection.
- Using Software to carry out load flow, fault analysis and protection studies.
- Support and assist in the sales stage of a project by taking responsibility for ensuring that conceptual design and tender preparation documents are provided to meet the timescales and quality standards required for presentation to the customer.
- Provide support to the Project Manager during the design, installation commissioning and testing phases of the project, ensuring the timely production of all necessary documentation.
- Engineering sign off is to ensure the design process has been followed and validating that general electrical engineering principles have been met.
The ideal profile is someone with:
- Electrical Engineering experience working in an associated industry with a background in power generation.
- Knowledge of low and medium voltage power trains and associated control and instrumentation.
- Experience in managing and leading junior team members.
- Full driving license.
