Rates: £38.5p/hour (£29p/hour standard rate + £5 site allowance, £4.50 Security Clearance, £50p/night accommodation allowance and up to 5 hours travel time)

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Electrical Inspector to join our clients growing team, providing essential inspection services across a site in Reading, England. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and a proven track record of inspecting electrical systems within the renewable energy, oil & gas, logistics, or construction sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out surveillance, holding and witnessing points in accordance with inspection and test plans.
  • Verifying inspection packs contain correctly issued drawings, observations, change requests and TQ’s.
  • Providing technical guidance and QA/QC support for procurement activities.
  • Inspecting MCC’s, HVAC, 1000A LV Busbar, LV distribution and earthing system.
  • Inspecting BMS Instrumentation, transmitters, valves and control panels.
  • Ensuring onsite installations are installed to nuclear specification.
  • Completing QC designated inspections
  • Ensuring all work is carried out as per company/ industry standards and platform safety regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of an Electrical Engineering NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
  • Qualification in City and Guilds 2391 or 2392
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience within the UK.
  • Nuclear Security Clearance (Be willing to get)
  • British Born
  • Possess a clean UK driving license.
  • Independent inspection qualifications or certifications (e.g., CSCS, CCNSG, ECS) are highly desirable.
