Mechanical Site Supervisor - HV Substation x 3 locations

  • Location: Scotland - North West based
  • Contract length: 6-8 months
  • Rate: From £39 per hour, outside IR35
  • Accommodation: Provided on selected sites
  • Higher rates available for certain projects/sites

Turner Lovell are currently recruiting experienced Mechanical Site Supervisors to support major HV substation projects across Scotland.
The successful candidate will support the General Site Manager, providing day-to-day supervision of mechanical works and overseeing specialist subcontractors and trade teams.
Previous UK HV substation experience is essential.

Duties

  • Supervise mechanical works and specialist subcontractors on site.
  • Support the General Site Manager with day-to-day site supervision.
  • Monitor installation works, progress and workmanship.
  • Carry out site inspections and paperwork checks.
  • Ensure RAMS, PPE and site HSE requirements are followed.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, engineers and the wider site team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Supervisor / Mechanical Supervisor.
  • UK HV substation experience - essential.
  • Experience overseeing and coordinating subcontractors.
  • Strong knowledge of RAMS, PPE, site inspections and construction paperwork.
  • SMSTS / SSSTS - essential.
  • CSCS - essential.
  • SSE CAT 1, 2 or 3 - highly desirable.
