Mechanical Fitters - National Grid Substation Project

Location: Ashford, Kent

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 10-12 months

Rate: £30-£34 per hour

Turner Lovell is recruiting for 2 Mechanical Fitters to support a major National Grid substation build project based in Kent. This is a long-term opportunity on a high-profile infrastructure project, with strong potential for continuation onto future works for the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out mechanical installation works on a live National Grid substation project
  • Support installation and assembly of mechanical components in line with project specifications
  • Operate MEWP equipment safely and efficiently
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with site safety standards and National Grid requirements

Requirements

  • Valid NG Person (Substations) - essential
  • MEWP ticket - essential
