Turner Lovell is seeking experienced HV Fitters to deliver HV installation works across major renewable energy and energy infrastructure projects in the UK. These positions offer long-term involvement with high profile projects and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and assemble HV switchgear, transformers, busbars, and ancillary equipment.
  • Assist with installation of control and protection systems.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance and fault-finding on HV equipment.
  • Work closely with HV Wiremen and site teams to deliver installation milestones.
  • Ensure all works comply with HSEQ standards, site procedures, and statutory regulations.
  • Support commissioning activities and provide technical feedback to Site Supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate installation records and progress updates.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience as an HV Fitter on UK HV projects (renewable energy, substations, or grid infrastructure).
  • Relevant authorisations (e.g., National Grid, SSE, SPEN, UKPN, ENW, NPG) or willing to obtain.
  • Strong knowledge of HV installation, testing, and commissioning practices.
  • Awareness of CDM regulations and site safety procedures.
  • CSCS card and other relevant site safety certifications.
  • Ability to travel and work across multiple UK sites.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills.
