Turner Lovell is seeking experienced HV Fitters to deliver HV installation works across major renewable energy and energy infrastructure projects in the UK. These positions offer long-term involvement with high profile projects and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and assemble HV switchgear, transformers, busbars, and ancillary equipment.
- Assist with installation of control and protection systems.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and fault-finding on HV equipment.
- Work closely with HV Wiremen and site teams to deliver installation milestones.
- Ensure all works comply with HSEQ standards, site procedures, and statutory regulations.
- Support commissioning activities and provide technical feedback to Site Supervisors.
- Maintain accurate installation records and progress updates.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as an HV Fitter on UK HV projects (renewable energy, substations, or grid infrastructure).
- Relevant authorisations (e.g., National Grid, SSE, SPEN, UKPN, ENW, NPG) or willing to obtain.
- Strong knowledge of HV installation, testing, and commissioning practices.
- Awareness of CDM regulations and site safety procedures.
- CSCS card and other relevant site safety certifications.
- Ability to travel and work across multiple UK sites.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills.
