Turner Lovell are partnering with a leading international engineering organisation to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician for a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-tech production environment supporting critical infrastructure projects across the UK and Europe. The facility specialises in manufacturing products playing a key role in energy and infrastructure delivery.
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Maintenance Technician with a strong engineering background, someone who is safety-conscious, proactive, and eager to develop their career within a dynamic, highly technical manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform planned preventive maintenance on plant, machinery, and associated systems
- Respond to reactive maintenance requirements and troubleshoot faults to minimise downtime
- Maintain and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems, including PLC-controlled equipment
- Support calibration, testing, and commissioning of production machinery
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders
- Follow strict health, safety, and environmental procedures
- Ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards
- Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi-Skilled Engineering (ONC/HNC, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds)
- Proven experience in heavy manufacturing or continuous production environments
- Strong electrical and mechanical skills, with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manuals
- Knowledge of PLC systems for diagnostics
- Familiarity with predictive maintenance techniques (vibration analysis, thermal imaging)
- Relevant industry tickets (MEWP, forklift) or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
- Able to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary team
