Would you like exposure to technically varied design & build projects across substations, battery energy storage, enabling works and wider infrastructure civils?

Turner Lovell is recruiting an Assistant Design Engineer (Civil/Structural) to join a growing infrastructure and engineering contractor delivering major UK energy and infrastructure schemes. This opportunity sits within a multidisciplinary civils design team delivering projects across the energy and infrastructure sector, supported by a strong secured pipeline of work.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting the preparation of civil engineering designs, drawings and technical documentation
  • Assisting with multidisciplinary project delivery across infrastructure and energy schemes
  • Supporting design coordination, technical reviews and BIM processes
  • Producing engineering documentation in line with project and quality requirements
  • Assisting with site visits, surveys and project meetings where required
  • Working alongside senior engineers to develop technical knowledge and project experience

Ideal background:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on civil engineering design experience
  • Familiarity with engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit or similar
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • An interest in developing within the energy and infrastructure sector
