An exciting opportunity for a Civil Resident Setting Out Engineer to join a busy Electrical Transmission team in delivering key substation projects across the UK, working with clients like National Grid and SSE.

Are you an experienced civil site engineer with experience in delivering substation projects? Have you ambitions to work with a market-leader on significant, large-scale projects?

Turner Lovell is currently recruiting for a Civil Resident Setting Out Engineer to join a leading grid connection contractor. You will be hands-on with planning, design, and construction, helping keep things on track and up to standard.

  • RC foundations, drainage, ducting, earthworks, roads, fencing
  • Support site and project managers in meeting key design and build milestones
  • Assist TWC/TWS throughout project lifecycle
  • Prepare handover documents, H&S files, and inspection plans
  • Attend design/coordination meetings and support tender planning

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience in surveying/setting out
  • Civil Engineering degree or equivalent
  • Experience in electrical transmission/distribution preferred
  • CSCS card and full UK driving licence required
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Confident with Microsoft Office, databases, and CAD
