Are you an experienced civil design engineer with experience in delivering substation projects? Have you ambitions to work with a market-leader on significant, large-scale projects? Turner Lovell is currently recruiting for a Senior Civil Design Engineer to join a rapidly expanding engineering design consultant and grid connection contractor. As a Senior Civil Design Engineer you will: Lead the end-to-end civil design of electricity substations (up to 400kV) across the UK. Attend site visits, client meetings, and design reviews to monitor progress, resolve technical issues, and maintain alignment with project scope. Coordinate closely with internal design teams and external stakeholders to ensure projects meet technical, safety, and quality requirements within time and budget constraints. Manage design risks and develop practical, buildable engineering solutions throughout project development and delivery. Oversee design reviews and ensure integration with adjacent disciplines such as electrical and structural. Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Strong understanding of project lifecycles from feasibility through handover. Familiar with AutoCAD and MS Office; experience in Civil 3D, Revit, or Navisworks is advantageous.
