Turner Lovell is recruiting for 2 Mechanical Fitters to support a major National Grid substation build project based in Kent. This is a long-term opportunity on a high-profile infrastructure project, with strong potential for continuation onto future works for the right candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out mechanical installation works on a live National Grid substation project
- Support installation and assembly of mechanical components in line with project specifications
- Operate MEWP equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with site safety standards and National Grid requirements
- Work collaboratively with site teams to meet programme deadlines
Requirements
- Valid NG Person (Substations) - essential
- MEWP ticket - essential
- Proven experience working on National Grid substations or similar HV infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of mechanical installation practices within construction environments
- Ability to work safely in a high-risk, regulated environment
