What You'll Do
Turnbull are looking to invest in and support an entry level professional in progressing their career into a Apprentice SHEQ Advisor.
This is a unique role for a talented individual, acting as a support to the SHEQ team and Senior SHEQ Advisor. You will be learning to supportstrategies, systems, monitoring performance and the provision of advice and support to ensure compliance with statutory and company requirements.
Whilst we look to support and develop you through your apprenticeship plan to ensure your best competence as you develop in the SHEQ Team, with the potential to progress in the team.
Your will learn about and eventually support the following responsibilities as you develop through this role:
- You will learn to be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of risk assessments and management systems, while proactively following up on control measures. Duties to undertake in aid of your development will be (not exhaustive):
- Learning to carrying our collaborative site inspections and audits, once training requirements have been met.
- Upskilling to support the team with the preparation of safe systems of work, risk assessments, method statements, inductions and briefings
- Learn to assist in the development of pre-start briefs and Point of Work risk assessments (POWRA)
- Learn to Assist with integrated management systems (ISO 9001,14001 & 45001)
- Be mentored with assisting with any accident/incident investigations, identifying root cause analysis and reviewing trendsLearn to undertake action plans to ensure continued sustained compliance with legislation
- Attend relevant training as required with progression plans
- Learn to support with the upkeep of company accreditations
- Attend SHEQ site meetings when required
This role also brings an opportunity for you to drive continuous improvement with regards to the health and safety culture across the organisation by raising the profile and improve management and controls of the employee well-being aspect of health and safety whilst developing your career in health & safety.
