Turnbull & Co is a family‑owned builders’ merchant with long‑standing roots across Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. We’re looking for a reliable Driver / Warehouse Operative to join our Plumbing & Heating branch at Horncastle and play a key role in delivering to our trade customers and supporting daily branch operations. This is a hands‑on, practical role supporting our lightside team and focused on getting things right for customers and working closely with our local branches.
What you’ll be doing:
- Loading and unloading our delivery vehicles ensuring that all products are safely loaded, secured and are correct against the customers’ orders.
- Making local deliveries of plumbing & heating products.
- Ensuring delivery is safe to make and respecting customer’s property.
- Keeping the warehouse tidy, accessible and in good operational order at all times.
- Controlling the movement of stock in and out of the warehouse.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience of warehousing and delivery driving, but this can be in any industry and we will provide any training needed for the right candidate.
- A Full Driving licence is required.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work.
- Being reliable, practical, and safety‑conscious.
- Able to work well as part of a team.
- Comfortable dealing with customers in a polite, professional way.
- Forklift experience is desirable but not essential (training available).
- Stable role based at one location.
