Turnbull & Co is a family-owned builders’ merchant with long-standing roots across Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. We’re looking for a reliable Class 2 Driver to work across our trading branches in Sleaford, Boston, Newark and Horncastleand play a key role in serving our trade customers and supporting daily branch operations.
This is a hands-on, practical role supporting our Lincoln & Newark branches focused on getting things right for customers.
What you’ll be doing
- Making local deliveries of Building materials in our HIAB Crane Lorries.
- Loading and unloading our fleet of delivery vehicles ensuring that all products are safely loaded, secured and are correct against the customers’ orders.
- Ensuring delivery is safe to make and respecting customer’s property.
- Checking goods off with Customers and obtaining signatures for delivery.
What we’re looking for
You don’t need previous builders’ merchant experience — we’re happy to train the right person.
What matters most is:
- A Class 2 Licence is essential – we are willing to offer HIAB/Crane training for the right person.
- Driver CPC
- A positive attitude and willingness to work
- Being reliable, practical, and safety-conscious
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Comfortable dealing with customers in a polite, professional way
- Forklift experience is desirable but not essential (training available).
- Stable role based at one location
