Contract: 18 month FTC, with possibility of extension.

About the role:

The Turn2us Programmes Team runs place-based programmes to address the symptoms of and tackle the causes of financial insecurity. The Barking and Dagenham Programme has been running for three years working across multiple locations in Barking and Dagenham to design solutions to financial insecurity with residents and convene local stakeholders to drive systems change. This role will continue to work in partnership with local organisations and residents to develop and manage an innovative, high impact programme of support that includes lived experience, grants, and information so that people living in financial insecurity have the opportunity to build financial security and thrive in the places where they live.

About you:

  • We are looking for someone experienced in managing programmes with complex projects, partnerships, and power dynamics and key stakeholders across the social, public, and charitable sector.
  • The candidate should be a strong communicator, collaborative, and able to translate complex ideas and values to diverse audiences, and skilled in people management.
  • They should be knowledgeable in embedding principles of EDIB, safeguarding, and GDPR.
  • Candidates should have a proven track record of financial accountability and community-led or community action programmes through collaborative and co-produced approaches.
  • The candidate should be committed to social justice, accountability, driving change, and empowering communities.

We offer flexible working patterns, both in terms of hours and remote working. Please note that all employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 1 day a week. Some roles may be required to be in the office more often than others and this will be agreed with the hiring manager upon starting at Turn2us.
