Turn IT on is looking for an ICT Consultant with a flair for technology and a passion for exceptional customer service. The role involves maintaining IT hardware and services across schools, enhancing ICT provisions and supporting teaching through ICT solutions at Walthamstow and Dartford.

Location: Walthamstow and Dartford

Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum (negotiable for the right candidate)

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain school IT hardware and services across multiple sites.
  • Install, configure and upgrade software, operating systems and network applications.
  • Provide first- and second-line technical support to staff and students.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and network issues quickly.
  • Collaborate with schools, keep them informed of new services and manage customer accounts.
  • Explain technical solutions in layman’s terms to customers.
  • Work independently and proactively to improve service quality and processes.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years’ experience as an ICT Technician or in 2nd-line support, preferably in education.
  • Strong technical background and proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
  • Excellent customer-service orientation, communication and organisational skills.
  • Team player with a courteous and professional manner.
  • Capacity to work independently and solve problems proactively.
