Join as an ICT Consultant at turn IT on based in Reading. This partâtime role (2 days per week) rewards your technical flair and passion for customer service with an annual salary from ÂŁ26,000 to ÂŁ32,000 (ÂŁ10,400 â ÂŁ12,800 for two days per week). You will support schools across Reading and Berkshire, ensuring their IT infrastructure runs smoothly.
Key requirements: valid UK driving licence, access to a vehicle, and the ability to travel to multiple school sites.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and resolve technical issues impacting school functions, providing robust solutions.
- Install, maintain and repair computer hardware, including desktops, iPads, printers, telephones, scanners and AV equipment.
- Configure and update software across the network, diagnose problems and provide user support, including Microsoft Office365.
- Communicate with schools about available services, manage accounts and keep them informed of updates.
- Work independently, identify improvement opportunities and act proactively.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years in ICT Technician / 2nd line support, preferably in education.
- Strong technical background and customerâservice orientation.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills; able to explain technical issues in layman's terms.
- Selfâmotivated team player with problemâsolving aptitude.
