Join as an ICT Consultant with turn IT on, supporting schools in Wakefield, Barnsley and Pontefract.

Salary: £26,000 – £31,000

Contract: Temporary (3–6 months, potential to extend)

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all IT hardware and services across school sites.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues that impact school operations.
  • Install, repair and upgrade computers, networking software and peripheral devices (desktops, iPads, printers, telephones, scanners, projectors and AV equipment).
  • Provide technical support to users and explain technical issues in layman’s terms.
  • Keep schools and turn IT on up to date with available services and manage customer accounts.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in an ICT technician or 2nd line support role, preferably in education.
  • Proficient in maintaining school computer equipment and installing software across networks.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office365 and common user applications.
  • Strong communication, organisational and problem‑solving skills.
  • Self‑motivated, team player with an enthusiastic customer‑service attitude.
