Wakefield, Barnsley, Pontefract. Salary: £26,000 – £31,000. Temporary Contract (3 – 6 months, potential to extend).
Turn IT on are looking for an ICT Consultant who has a real flair for technology mixed with a passion for providing exemplary service to our customers, join our team supporting within Wakefield, Barnsley and Pontefract. You will be responsible for maintaining all IT hardware and services across the schools’ sites as well as helping the schools improve the standard of their ICT provisions and enable them to deliver effective teaching and learning through ICT solutions.
Responsibilities
- Maintain school computer equipment, install new and existing software across the network, provide technical support for users and resolve identified technical problems.
- Facilitate communication between your school and Turn IT On, keeping them up to date with services offered and manage customer accounts.
- Respond to a wide range of technical duties related to the computer network and desktop services, including existing installations and upgrades (Desktop computers, iPads, printers, telephones, scanners, projectors, PA equipment, AV lecterns and hardware).
The role is offered on a full-time, full-year basis and the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS and safeguarding checks.
Requirements / Qualifications
- At least 2 years’ experience in ICT Technician/2nd line support, preferably in the education sector (not essential).
- Strong technical background, self-motivated with excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate clearly, with the ability to explain technical issues in layman’s terms.
- Ability to work independently with problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to improving services.
