Turn IT on is looking for an ICT Consultant with a passion for technology and a commitment to providing exemplary customer service to support a Trust in Bromley. You will be responsible for maintaining IT hardware and services across the schools’ sites, improving ICT provisions, and enabling effective teaching and learning through technology. You will facilitate communication between schools and Turn IT on, keep them informed of our services, and manage customer accounts. You will maintain school computer equipment, install and upgrade software across the network, provide technical support, and resolve technical problems. Knowledge of common user applications and Microsoft Office 365 experience is required. You may be required to travel between school sites. The role is full‑time, full‑year and includes enhanced DBS and safeguarding checks.
Responsibilities
- Resolve and manage technical issues impacting the school’s operations by providing robust solutions.
- Install or repair computers with standardised applications and networking software, diagnosing and solving problems that arise in their operations.
- Respond to a wide range of technical duties related to the computer network and desktop services, including installation and upgrade of desktop computers, iPads, printers, telephones, scanners, projectors, PA equipment, AV lecterns and hardware.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum two years of experience as an ICT Technician or 2nd line support, preferably in the education sector, though not essential.
- Strong technical background, self‑motivated with excellent customer service skills, a team player with strong communication and organisational abilities, courteous manner with the ability to explain technical issues in layman’s terms.
- Ability to work independently, problem‑solving aptitude, proactive approach to improving services.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: £28,000 – £33,000, negotiable for the right candidate. Benefits include a pension scheme, electric/hybrid car scheme, cycle/ebike scheme, eye care voucher scheme, mental health first aid, employee assistance programme and employee recognition scheme.
