£30,000 – £35,000 FTE Full Time Ealing

Are you a passionate primary school teacher looking for a role with no expectation of extra work outside your contracted hours? Would you like to step away from regular staff meetings, assessments and moderation, and instead focus on delivering the computing curriculum your way?

At turn IT on, we’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic ICT Teaching Consultant to join our team. You don’t need to be an expert in computing just yet – we’ll support you with mentoring, resources, and team-teaching opportunities. You’ll become part of our experienced curriculum team, backed by highly qualified ICT educators who are there to help you thrive.

The Role

  • Advise schools on the computing curriculum and assess their needs.
  • Deliver engaging computing lessons across KS1 and KS2.
  • Run INSET days, staff training, and support after-school ICT clubs (within agreed hours).
  • Produce weekly updates for school leadership and your turn IT on manager.
  • Act as the main point of contact between your schools and turn IT on.
  • Promote awareness of our full range of services and ensure excellent customer service.

What We’re Looking For

  • Has QTS and is educated to degree level (B.Ed., BA/BSc with PGCE).
  • Has at least 2 years of experience teaching the Primary curriculum.
  • Has experience delivering computing or ICT to KS1 and KS2 pupils.
  • Is confident using technology and has a passion for computing.
  • Can plan and organise their own lessons and timetable independently.
  • Is flexible, adaptable, and able to travel to different schools within the area.
  • Is suitable to work with children and willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
  • Has strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving approach.
  • Is willing to complete online training before starting (paid for by turn IT on).

Knowledge of primary programming tools (e.g. Scratch) is desirable, but not essential.

The role is offered on a full year, full-time basis and the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
