About the role
We are seeking a proactive Assistant Consultant or Consultant with a passion for communications, politics and people. In this role you will be involved in:
- Planning and delivering communications campaigns that help shape development proposals, drive regeneration projects and engage communities in the process;
- Preparing for and coordinating public consultations including attendance at online and in-person events;
- Drafting external collateral including writing press releases, social media campaign content and briefing papers;
- Undertaking political monitoring and proactively sharing insights with internal teams and external networks;
- Evaluating and reporting on campaigns and consultation activity.
About you
The ideal candidate will be flexible with a ‘can do’ attitude. We welcome candidates from a range of backgrounds including planning, geography, social sciences and communications. What matters most is a passion for working with communities and shaping more inclusive places. Previous experience in communications or a consultancy role within a professional services environment is essential. You will have a demonstrable interest in communications, local and national politics and a passion for engaging with people from all communities. Your organisational skills should be at an exceptional level and demonstrate a broad range of experience. What is important is your ability to learn quickly and to develop relationships whilst working within a highly professional team.
