About the role
As a key member of our finance team of qualified and part-qualified accountants, you will have a high level of autonomy and you will be focused on providing the greatest standards of client care and an efficient and accurate service to our colleagues and other stakeholders. Each day will bring different opportunities so you should be prepared to get involved.
In this role, you will:
- Assist in the preparation of the month end KPI's
- Reconcile key balance sheet nominals
- Maintain fixed asset register
- Assist with the year end accounts production and liaise with the auditors
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets
- Provide financial analysis and insights that inform decision-making
- Build strong relationships and credibility with stakeholders to influence outcomes across the business
- Provide cover for other members of the finance team
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and financial regulations
- Have the opportunity to get involved in system change
About You
You will have a good level of experience in a similar role within a small to medium sized company, ideally in a professional services environment. You will be comfortable spending time together in the office as a team, balanced with flexibility. You will work proactively and as part of a team; with strong communication skills and an ability to manage your own workload and prioritise tasks effectively to ensure team deadlines are met. You will be skilled in the use of Excel to an intermediate or advanced standard and some knowledge of SQL or Power BI will be helpful.
Applications are welcome from candidates who have completed the AAT (or equivalent) and who are currently studying or looking to study towards a recognised accounting qualification, whether CIMA or ACCA. Personal and professional development of our co-owners is a key priority and there will be scope to grow within this role.
The salary range for an Assistant Accountant is ÂŁ30,000 - ÂŁ35,000 per annum.
