We operate nationally across the UK and Ireland, and are looking for an energetic and eager Assistant Consultant to join our Strategic Communications team in Manchester. Turley Strategic Communications focuses on engaging people creatively, and mediating their influence positively within policy, planning and place-making processes.

We are seeking an Assistant Consultant with a passion for communications, politics and people. In this role you will assist our team serving in Manchester, as well as the national Strategic Communications team in:

  • Planning and executing communications campaigns to assist with development proposals, regeneration and corporate affairs objectives including social value work;
  • Preparing for, attending and assisting with online and in-person public consultation events;
  • Drafting external collateral including writing press releases, social media campaign content and briefing papers;
  • Undertaking political and media research and monitoring.

The ideal candidate will be flexible with a ‘can do’ attitude and hold a relevant degree or have relevant previous experience in communications or a consultancy role within a professional services environment (preferred but not essential). You would have a demonstrable interest in communications, politics and a passion for engaging with people.
